Keith, You have a lot of unknowns so it's pretty hard to tell what's wrong. I'm not familiar with the Permajet inks but QTR does have profiles for UT2 inks on the 1280/1290. First, I'd make sure your printer is printing all the inks -- nozzle checks. Then try out QTR with some of the profiles. If it's still not to your liking you need to be more explicit about the problem.
