That is not true, it uses all three at the same time when printing on fine art media. I don't claim to know how it works and I am only repeating what I have been told by Neil Snape (as close to an expert on the 9180) as anyone. I also included a link to his review that has this information. He, and me by proxy, may be incorrect but I am basing my comments on what he has said in regards to his first hand experience with this printer (He has had this printer for several months).
