Will, It was a pleasure meeting and chatting with you this weekend. I must say that I was totally surprised at the quality of B&W prints you are getting from your 1800 using Epson's color inks. I expected to see some traces of color hues but saw none. Also, the sharpness of your prints was better than the color prints done on lightjets that others were showing. Another interesting thing is that when prints are put behind glass, metamerism is a non-issue unless you've got it real bad. I encourage anyone in the San Diego area to check out this exhibit. While those of us in this group (including me) tend to spend a lot of time talking about the C8x, 220, 2400, and occasionally the 1280, this exhibit showed the 1800 at $300 less than the 2400 is definitely capable of producing gallery quality carbon-based prints.
