Hello, After MIS CFS issues with my 2100 on UT7, and a few months back to Epson OEM UC inks, I feel I want to go back to a real good b&w workflow on my own printer. Here are the options I see: 1. Buy a new CFS and reinstall the UT7 workflow - advantage its proven, and IF it works it works well and cheap in ink. 2. Buy a CFS with the 3d inks. Except real sepia which I hardly ever do, is there a disadvantage respectively is it difficult to create profiles for new papers without expensive hardware equipment? Simply put: Is UT3d "better" than UT7? 3. Get a HP 9180 and use HP inks. I have received sample prints from HP, the b&w sample (a bride with a tree behind) was not convincing to me, but could be the photo, not the printer... The consumables for HP are a bit less expensive than for the 2400, and I could of course do color also which I am doing more than in the past, currently mostly via a lab where I send my files. 4. Use the Epson K3 inks with a 2400 is just too expensive - the cartridges are burnes too fast, and they are expensive... Anyway I will wait for Photokina - maybe if the new A2 Epson will hold big cartridges, in this case it would be a solution, the 4000 series is too huge, and also too expensive... I am not making money with my prints. In any case I will wait for the Photokina announcments next weeks, then I will order... Thanks for your input.. Bernie
