$1300 isn't exactly cheap, but for a 17" printer that can do as much as this one can, it looks rather good to me (especially after I sell off some of the $500+ worth of OEM ink that it comes with it). The lack of roll paper support is not that important to me. The prices of roll paper per piece are not much if any cheaper than buying the pre-cut pieces. One thing I'd need to do occasionally is cut a longer piece from a roll. (Like for the 16 x 32 I'm currently printing - see my web page, below). The easier MK and PK switching is a necessary improvement, in my view. The 2400 (K3) Y = Carbon approach came out of my search for a replacement for my aging 7500. Although I'd have to farm out my larger prints, the convenience and price savings over a 7800 might make me ditch the larger machines.
