Hello Mike, >I had a feeling that Epson would start offering some 2400 refurbs >right about now. Do you think that's a pretty good deal for $700? Seems a bit high when a new one is $849 and sometimes are found for $799. But it's still cheaper, so why not go for it. The warranty is (should be) the same. >I have a canon 5d, and I'm getting a real kick out of printing with >an r220 in small size black only and grayscale. But I have serious >misgivings about this printer's ability to print the odd color image, even with a MIS Pro ultrachrome inkset. I have an R200 along with the 2400, and they make a good pair. If you have the space it's worth keeping the 220. If your experience so far is just with the 220, then be prepared for the 2400 to open the doors into a whole new world. It's a different approach and will definitely expand your thinking. It's a great printer and highly recommended.
