Manuel, You'll probably find the Epson K3 PK has a better dmax than the MIS PK. I think it makes a very good ink with the MIS inks in the other positions. On some older printers this would sometimes cause some roughness in the transition between the midtone and black inks, but this does not appear to be a problem with the 2400 as far as I can tell. Recently I got a few sample packs that include glossy papers. I don't usually use glossy due to bad past experiences - after a few months in the very humid environment here in Puerto Rico my glossy prints became a complete disaster, while my matte prints are doing very well after several years. However, after using photo rag and seeing the the effect of a higher dmax, I would like to do some tests on glossy. My question is: is it a good idea to use an epson K3 photo-black cartdridge together with the K4's to do some test prints? I have one laying around that I would like to use. Thanks, Manuel [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
