This reduced metamerism, at the cost of grainier prints (the dot size on the 2000p is fairly large). For replacing the inks with a gray inkset, having the black ink (no matter who's black ink it is) used for most of the grays is not ideal. So you would actually be best off with the original driver... which is only available from early 2000p CDs at this point, and may not function with newer OSes. With the later driver, this is not going to be a very impressing B&W printer unless you use a RIP with it, and define a more appropriate gray generation scheme than the one the driver uses.
