I believe the areas Tyler's scan was focussing on was highlights, where not having extra extra light grays would force EITHER the RGB or the AWB modes to use LLK for most of the coverage. That would be where I would expect the dithering to be most visible... microscopically. As I say, viewing distance is a whole different matter. I haven't had much complaint about the highlights for some time now( except in terms of hue control), its the shadow detail I've been most interested in! C.
