Digital BW, The Print

Example : lets print a picture in the 11x19 size on an Epson 4000pro.
To make it easy, I take a file of the same size 11x19 but with
different PPI, one at 600ppi and one at 200ppi.
I send both to print, what is the printer doing ?

Will it resup/resdown the file to 360 as it is said they deal with
360ppi files (at least for Epson printers)?
