Digital BW, The Print

Hello. I am going to purchase an Epson R220 printer this week to print 
B&W. I want to purchase MIS Inks for this purpose. I have looked at 
Paul Roark's great site. I may be somewhat dense, but can someone with 
experience recommend an ink set that will produce neutral to cold B&W 
prints? Also, it seems that there may be a quality control issue with 
MIS inks. Can someone verify this? Thank you.
