Not sure what you've been reading, but you might try the simple workflow outlined in article #9 at the link below. It produces excellent results, doesn't require calibration or profiles, and costs nothing to try, so it may meet your criteria. Article #9b deals with using that workflow with Silver Rag paper, but it can be applied to the Innova and EPL as well.
