RE: [Digital BW] Color/B&W Measurement Learning Material

Bob,

With respect to the colors and where they are on the Lab scheme of things,
see my cheat sheet at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/RGB+Lab.jpg

The Lab Lightness scale is the amount reflected: pure white = 100%, pure
black = 0%.

Google "Lab CIE" and you'll get all sorts of info.

Subject: [Digital BW] Color/B&W Measurement Learning Material

Mentions to the Lab measurement system and other measurement methods
are often made on this forum, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who
does not understand much of what this means. Is there a book, white
paper, or other reference that you experts would recommend to we
learners that would help us understand these concepts better?

Thanks!
