But usually it takes not more than a Stanley knife, cyanoacrylate glue and a small sheet of 2-3 mm thick PVC or ABS to make and adapter or change the existing one. The adapters are often bolted to the resetter itself so can be removed and customised without touching the contact pins. The first models of resetters worked on the 10000-10600-7600-9600 range and not always on the next generation of Epson wide formats 9800 etc. The later models work on all. It wouldn't surprise me if the 3800 needs some new firmware in the resetter too, Epson can't be that cooperative. On the guides, the carts are smaller than the old wide format ones, I guess the waste tank too, if you can make a mold for the cart shape and waste tank shape itself then you get guiding enough for the resetter, it could mean two different guides: one for waste tank and one for the cart. The day Epson decides to make 9 different chip positions for the 9 different carts isn't there yet I hope :-) What I expect is that the carts have the same back flow valve that is in the 10000, 10600, 9800, 7800 pressurised carts. Refilling them without a cart valve modification isn't possible. Met vriendelijke groeten,Ernst | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |
