Digital BW, The Print

Hello,
I have a set of Jon Cone's flushing cartridges for my 4800 but have 
never used them. I figure they are appropriate to use in the rare 
event I'm leaving the machine to sit unused for a month. That is, 
flush out the lines and leave the cleaning solutions in the lines 
until it is loaded with either K3 or K7 inks. Does this make sense? 
Are these cartridges significantly different from flushing cartridges 
made by Epson? Thanks and Happy New Year,
