Digital BW, The Print

Hi all.
Been lurking for a while on this great group. I already got tons of 
info that has enabled me to get going with B&W digital printing with 
good results. So an initial word of thanks to all is certainly due.
Now with the question. I'm tempted by a used Epson 2200 that is being 
sold locally by a private user. Plans would be to turn it into a 
dedicated b&w with MIS refillable carts and inks. Before I dump my 
money on the deal are there some obvious things I should check and 
questions I should ask re this particular machine?
