Hello everybody. I've been reading now for weeks all about B&W printing on this group, on Paul Roarks and on Clayton Jones' site. Great Infos! I am new to the digital darkroom aspect of photography. So first of all, many thanks to all the people who make such great information available to everybody! I would like to get into digital B&W printing with the R220 and MIS UT-R2 approach (and also BO). However, I am having a very, very hard time finding that model (I live in Europe, Switzerland). It seems outdated. My question: Is there a recent Epson printer (for example R240, R265 or R360) that would work in the same way as the R220 with the UT-R2 set? Or should I hang on until I find a used R220 on an auction site? (There is actually one that sells in Germany, but it's a 'repaired' one and I'm not sure at what I will be getting...) I'm not going to print any larger than A4 (letter size) so I'm not looking at A3 printers. Moreover, even if they are tempting (2400 for example), I just don't have enough space to suit it (small apartment, small budget). And I actually never printed larger than A4 anyway during my traditional wet darkroom 'career'. So what would be the options here? (Apart waiting to find a R220).
