RE: [Digital BW] Bronzing and EPL

2007-01-18 by Paul Roark

Take a look at this approach: http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/4K+.pdf Part of
the point was to separate the carbon (where I prefer MIS) from the LC and
LM, in part because I prefer the Epson LM. The MIS un-coated pigs bronze
less, and the 2200 has the space for a Glop in there that will probably get
you a virtually bronze-free print.

Subject: [Digital BW] Bronzing and EPL

I swore off anything but OEM inks and paper for my virgin 2200. Having
suffered through the trials of trying to do dedicated B/W on a 1280
and non-OEM inks I threw in the towel. I had no problems over the
years with a slew of Epson printers (like, never, ever) as long as I
used OEM.

Trouble is, with the 2200, QTR and EPL I get more brass than a middle
school band. The prints really bitch. Anybody got a sure cure for
bronzing on semigloss or luster papers (Epson's or whatever)? I'd be
willing to fall off the wagon and use non-OEM blacks. I want to keep
OEM in the other positions.

Thanks,

AZ
