FWIW, my 2400 has been on, almost constantly, since August, 2005. Sometimes I go a week or longer between printing sessions. I only turn it off if I'm going out of town for a few days. In all that time it has had only one minor clog, and that was after a 3-week idle period. Using Epson inks.
