Re: banding with R220 using Eboni MIS ink for BO printing

2007-01-27 by paulmwhiting

Thanks, Philip, very helpful. I think I was too much a slave to that
ink monitor. I did begin to suspect it might not be all that accurate.

Also, before hearing back from you, I (cautiously) tried out that SSC
utility--- and eventually got a definitive red light for new cart
needed, the cart moved over, I re-filled the spongeless cart, and
everything's back to normal. But next time I'll learn from your
helpful comments how to safely work around some of those issues.

Still getting a little banding, my orignal subject in this thread :).
That's all that's left. Guess I'll try some more nozzle check and
cleaning cycles. Is it true it's harmful to do more than three of
those cycles, then a print, then three more cycles, then letting the
printer rest - otherwise damaging the printer?

Appreciate all your help,

Regards,

Paul

PS Do you know if the time stamps on messages in these messages are
sometimes a bit off? They don't always seem to jibe somehow.
