I am not sure about the compatability of k7 and glossy type papers, but there are profiles in qtr so I went ahead and tried. What you say makes sense to me, but this issue happens with different profiles and different papers. So either QTR is mismanaging something (I don't see how) or my printer is throwing down too much ink in one or more positions. When I was using UC inks I never noticed this problem. I mostly have used my 2200 for b/w and stuff (and not that much truth be told) and only occasionally for color. The profiles I used with UC never utilized the M and C inks so I wonder if those two printheads (or whatever) aren't performing well. OF course the nozzle check looks just fine but I wonder if there is something else I should do because those two ink shades cover a large portion of the profiles. So I guess the question is how do I know my inks are putting down what they should even if my nozzle checks look fine? Thanks Scott
