Hi,
I got a box of A4 Hawkmountain Sparrowhawk and, as I do when I get a new paper, I printed a QTR calibration page.
Without a Spectro, the 100% black looked better than either Entrada Bright or Kayenta, so I printed a portrait with a very dark background on both Sparrowhawk and Kayenta at A4.
The Sparrowhawk had better blacks, but the Kayenta held the ink more smoothly in the dark areas. The Sparrowhawk is noticeably heavier at 220gsm v 205gsm.
Overall, I think the Sparrowhawk came out ahead. But it's probably subjective.
If I can't get rolls of PremierArt Premium Matte shipped to New Zealand next time I'm buying paper, I'll happily buy a roll of Sparrowhawk from the supplier in Australia.
