Digital BW, The Print

Hi Nelson:

I am running a Dual G4 with 10.4.8 and printing to a 2200. It is  
working fine. I had trouble though, in particular upgrading to the .7  
and .8 from 10.4.4, but I think there was something wrong with my  
system. However, a search revealed that there are problems for some  
people upgrading to 10.4.6 and up from 10.4.4 and with HP, Epson, and  
Canon printers (in that order of occurrance).

I am still having trouble with the epson utility for my 1270. I get  
the endlessly spinning beach ball when I try to launch that. So I use  
the button combinations on the printer.

When I had trouble, I went to the Apple Discussions site and did a  
search for printer problems and Tiger. One of the suggestions for  
people was to use the epson drivers on the Tiger installer. This is  
the driver I am using.

Someone mentions a utility "Printer Setup Repair" from  
www.fixamac.com which solved their problems, this might be a good  
thing to have just in case.
