RE: [Digital BW] ICC -Invalid Profile

2007-03-04 by jerry dungan

Paul,

Thanks once again for taking the time to look into a question of mine. I wouldn't have guessed for some time about the incompatibility as I only have the single PS version on board. Looks like that overdue PS uprade is in the sorks now as I don't want to pass up the ICC route. Even though it temporarily hasn't worked out, at least I know I could follow your ICC install directions correctly. BTW, the EZN with glossy and the C88 is really a treat! so thanks a million for that.

I tried the ICCs with PS 6 just now and got the same error message. It
looks like the "Create ICC" files are not compatible with PS6. They work
with PS 7 and later versions of PS and Elements 2 (earliest I have) and
later, in the Print Preview sections, but that maybe about it.

Subject: [Digital BW] ICC -Invalid Profile

I've copied the C88 ICC profiles from the zip file into Win\System\Color per
the instructions from 'Making a B&W ICC with a Scanner'. However, at print
time in PS6, after selecting any one of the C88 ICC profiles from the list,
I get the error message'"Can't print xyz.tiff because ICC profile is
Invalid", instead of the print. Any troubleshooting suggestion(s) would as
always be much appreciated.
