Here's another opportunity that may interest some here.
I contacted Epson for a diagnostic on my 1160 - it had just died.  They mentioned, in 
passing, their "loyalty" program of reduced prices for repeat customers.  Under this program, 
good for 14 days, the R2400 was discounted by about 25%.  I decided to jump at the 
opportunity for a significant printer upgrade.  Should have it in a couple of days.
No doubt I'll be back here asking for advice from experienced users.
