Good Luck. I re-fill with MIS inks without problems in my 2200 and 7600. You might want to look at those folks. Good customer service too. If you have spongless carts they can be a b-tch to get primed properly. Some types are better than others it seems. I never liked any of mediastreets offerings but, that might be me. The other thing is that almost all, if not all, 3rd party inks require custom profiles for optimum performance but, that won't help with your banding problem and is a waste of time untill that's sorted out.
