Re: [Digital BW] Same printer for BW and color

2007-04-15 by Andre Vallejo da Silva

Thanks Manuel and Tobie for the insights. Seems the way to go. Read the
articles and some quastions aroused:
Paul writes about EZ BW inks,: looks like the complete K3 set from MIS
would
do the same, right? (MIS bulk ink with spongeless carts is a much
better idea
then Epson inks...) If matched to QTR,I can´t see a better way.
Then,if using the QTR+MIS K3,there the point: Clinton describes a
hit-and-miss approach to adjusting the neutrality of the prints. My
experience with this way tells me it not that simple. Would then the
PrintFixPro work well with the K3,and could it be the "final"
solution? (for
now,of course,as usual...)
Then about the black ink. As I read in MIS pages,it seems a little
confusing
to be able to print in semmi-matte papers like Ilford Smooth Pearl. It's
only a matter of changing the black from Ebony to photo and also the
chip,or
there's something else? What about universal black in real world?
BTW,lightfastening times of 80 or 200 years means the same for
me.Unhappily
I won't last that long...it's more about the deepness of the black...
Best,
André
