Digital BW, The Print

Hello. I'm looking for printer to upgrade my old good R800, mostly to 
make step from A4 to A3. After reading some information from inet about 
1410, it make me wonder at capability of this priter to produce good BW 
prints in case the printer will be dedicated B&W printer.
I read that it is the replacement for the 1290, and I've seen BW prints 
from 1290 (MIS inks), which I found suited for me. But new technologhy 
of 1.5 pl (clogges) and lack of profiles are the factors that make me 
hesitate in spite of reasonable price of that printer.
Any advice will be appreciated and sorry for my English :)
