Herb, I agree with you ! The D-30 Does seem to do better than most other digital cameras in it's class, especially if you have sharp lenses, and the Canon lenses are sharp! I wonder, if an epson PRINTER can resolve all the detail that's in a file! Possibly they can't. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? I never use glossy paper, so I can't fairly test the 2880 setting on my 1280 printer. On matte papers, it doesn't seem to be any sharper than 1440 unless you use a loupe.
