If you try this I'd least use a 90 tooth finishing blade! Much smoother, clean edge.

Subject: [Digital BW] Cutting paper rolls
I'm interested in cutting some 36" rolls of paper into 17". Can I do
this on a regular chop saw? What kind of results will I get. (Blade
is typical woodworking combination blade, sharp.)
