Digital BW, The Print

Recently I got X_Rite Pulse, hard to resist with prices so low. I wrote 
small program to handle spot measurements for QTR, and successfully 
improved all my profiles. Now I am trying to read strips, but cannot 
figure out, when to press the putton, when to move, etc. Could anyone 
explain the routine? Whatever I try, this device beeps and should error.
