The 3800 lays down more ink than other X800 models, and can create 
blotchiness on matte art papers. Its an issue of choosing media settings that avoid 
excess ink laydown, while still striving for max blacks; or one can choose media 
that do not show a visible mottling from the extra ink. I've seen this effect 
on more than one matte art paper.
