This means that sending them a predithered (or prehalftone dotted) image in one bit B&W (NOT grayscale) would produce dots in exactly the pattern of the file. You can test this by sending one pixel wide B&W lines (ideally both horizontal and vertical lines) to the printer. At 360 you'll definately get lines, at 720, it will depend on the model.
