Hi Steadman,  I have a mac of course so this may be totally different but
when I had buffer underrun problems I found that "optimizing for size" and
transferring all files to an empty partition of my hard drive got rid of
them.  Create a partition thru the CD burn program is also the best way to
go... no fragmenting problems this way.
