Re: [Digital BW] re: MIS inks - CIS - alternatives

2007-08-17 by Linda Jacobs

It is my understanding that the K4 inks from MIS and the Inkrepublic
inks are the same (according to the folks at InkRepublic). I am using
the K4 inks from MIS as I had some full bottles on hand. I've had no
difficulties. If I hadn't had the bulk inks on hand I would have
probably ordered the ones from IR. I suggest you contact their
customer service dept - they will probably answer you in an hour or
less and are very forthcoming.

The IR system is very well engineered. I am very impressed. The
installation was fairly easy but I had to study the instructions on
the web site AND the instructions they mailed with the system to make
sure I understood (I'm not very good with that sort of thing).

I do have custom profiles for my inks and papers. If you use Epson
papers I think IR has profiles. I use several types of paper - not all
of them Epson.

Best of luck,

Linda J
