Hi Arlene, I haven't been able to think too much about this, but be sure and follow http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/UT7-7600-Readme.htm You are going through a gray scale step before converting to RGB and applying the curve, I hope. Just be sure all the original color is removed from the file. Be sure the carts are loaded correctly. Use a purge pattern and compare the print to the ink positions in the Readme file above.
