Somehow, and I guess the fates were with me, but I stumbled across Clayton's website and this one at about the same time and got intrigued with the simplicity of his Black Only approach. I ordered a couple of sample 5x7's from him and got intrigued. I was recently asked to put together a portfolio, a book actually, for a fundraising project here in Billings, Montana, and with the collaboration of a local architect we chose about 18 of my b/w photos for the book. The images were scans of conventional darkroom prints, tweaked a little in PhotoShop, and then printed on my Epson R220 using Moab Kayenta paper. I used MIS Eboni ink, and my color cart positions have been loaded with the MIS cleaning fluid. The results were stunning, even surpassing I have to admit, the original fiber paper darkroom prints. (see my photos at www.flatirongallery.com, and click on 'See the Art', then my name.) Thanks so much to all of you, I post this not as a problem but as a happy outcome. And now comes Clayton with an even better approach, just about the same time I was happy with what I had! He calls it 2KBO, and claims it's even better. Can't wait to try that, hard to see how to improve on what I have now. Thank you, Clayton, and all of you! Paul
