The 3000 is far from being a precision machine especially with regard to
paper transport. Cone editions released a driver especially made for the
3000 to help overcome some of the banding problems that many where
experiencing due to transport problems. It is really slow but it does
the job. It is version 5.1.3e. If you are already using this version,
then I would recommend that you let the printer set over night after
cleaning it and see what you get the next day.
