Digital BW, The Print

Hi all,

I am new to this group, and this is my first post. I tried to 
investigate past messages, but I must understand that, starting from 
zero not only in digital B&W printing, but also in printing in 
general, my understanding of the matters debated is preatty low 
(sorry).
I just bought an Epson rx560, a 6 ink model that, I was told, is 
preatty new, and therefore not covered by MIS and other inks. I think 
I will keep on printing with Epson colors, at the moment, but I would 
not dislike to add a second printer to my "collection", and use it 
only for B&W prints. I am curious about what printer (and which inks)
group members consider to be the best one in various price ranges, 
let's say 1) 50-200$, 2) 200-400$, and 3) 400-1000$ circa. 
I don't know how much money I will be able to invest, but I would like 
to buy a printer which allows me to render B&W prints at best...
