RE: [Digital BW] Ten Prints in San Francisco Show

Walt,

Thank you for sharing about your show at SF Camerawork. I look forward to
seeing it. I live in Menlo Park and should be able to make it. I am
quite interested in seeing your M8 and Tri x work. Are the Tri X from a M6
by chance?

Paul

Subject: [Digital BW] Ten Prints in San Francisco Show

As an alumnus of the forum--folks, I learned to print digitally here--
I wanted to say that I have ten prints in an upcoming three person
show at SF Camerawork. The show, with opening reception on November
1, presents the work of the three winners of the 2007 James Phelan
Award in Photography. The prints, juried by Danielle Cornell,
Curator of American Art at San Francisco's de Young Museum, and Lisa
Dent of the Lisa Dent Gallery, are all from my 4800 on Epson U.S.
Fine Art and K3 inks. (I also use the Cone K7 Neutrals, but there
are none in this show.) There are five old images from scanned Tri-X
and five new ones from the Leica M8, which I've been using for the
past nine months. The prints in the show are the actual ten prints
submitted for the jurying.

If you're in the area, I hope you'll come to the reception on
November 1 and say hello. You can get more information at SF
Camerawork's website, www.sfcamerawork.org.

With gratitude to all those on the forum who have been so helpful and
generous over the past few years,

Walt Odets
