Digital BW, The Print

In a moment of winter-solstice madness (aka marking-final-exams- 
dementia) I ordered an Epson 4880.

Ideally, I would like to use MIS Pro inks. I have been happy with  
them, and the price per ml is less than 25% of the Epson price.  
However, if Epson has their way I may have to use only their inks. In  
that event I would at least like to run the cartridges closer to drier  
that the Epson chips-and-software usually allow.

Hence the question:   Do any of the "wide format" chip setters on the  
market work with the 4880 chips?

Most of the Chinese companies seem to be going to auto-reset chips.  
DOIT International in China is now listing 4880 refillable cartridges  
with auto-reset chips, but so far I have not found any retail source.
