John - I have considered and reconsidered the darkroom for 2 years and quite frankly, I don't have $30,000 to renovate my "cellar" for a darkroom, I have too many four-legged children to convert the kitchen for a day, and, as I mentioned, with the kind of work I do now (image transfers), I don't really need the expensive papers. However, I will still have the option to make some nice straight prints to sell and exhibit if I need to with the 2400. As far as I know, atlex.com has the ink for less than epson and they appear to be the same price as the R1800 inks... Anyway, thank you very much for your input!
