Hello Sarah, Yes it does. I have a new 1800 I'll be setting up for 3k printing and am
looking forward to it. As a test before hand I set up a 220 with 3mk, 4mk and then 4pkn
just to get an idea of what it could do. I was very impressed with the 3/4 mk prints (on
PAHP205). There was a luminosity I'd not seen on matte papers before. Images where
local contrast is important seem to do particularly well with this approach.

The only real difference between 3 and 1 BO seems to be that the dot placement patterns
are different, smoothing out banding and so forth, the amount of ink getting on to the
paper seems the same.

With the r220 there is a significant difference in a matte print between 3/4 MK and the
UT3D that I also use. Not better or worse but distinctly different. (and a difference I like
depending on the print) I am curious as to whether or not that difference will be as
pronounced on the 1800 with its smaller drops.
