What a twisted methodology. I am pleased to see Bill Bergh here on the list. He is an employee of InkJetMall/ConeStudios and was an extremely helpful (and generally good-humoured) contributor on the peizoBW mailing list that I used to read. But I was surprised to read Bill's implied attack on Paul Roark -- I thought his tone very churlish and his insinuations unsupported. On my reading Paul's contribution to the community of quad-tone printers has been outstandingly generous, and his advice untainted by commercial interest. As for Paul's methodology of quad-tone research and printing, I don't think 'twisted' is the right term -- try 'open', 'generous', 'community-minded'. I am not sure what the relevance of his former employment as a consumer-protection bureaucrat (is that right?) might be, except perhaps that this has enhanced his interest in contributing to the community and his capacity for logical thought. Declaration of interest: I have been a (mostly lurking) member of this list since it began. I have bought products from both MIS and InkJetMall. I have no connection with either business except as a satisfied customer. I intend to buy some MIS VM inks for my 1160 and use Paul's workflow. Peter Marquis-Kyle Brisbane, Australia
