Steve, Yes, there is a pretty big difference between MK and PK ink on most, if not all, matte fine art papers. If the 2400 is like the 2200, then you should waste nearly no ink at all when swapping out the cartridges. On larger format printers it's a different story, but my 2200 wastes hardly any ink at all.
