PLEASE, change the subject line when you change the topic under discussion!! These are not about paper reviews(which interest me a lot), but are more of the unending and now soooo tedious discussions on what is art. I am sure the paper discussions are not interesting to some, and they can skip them, if properly identified. I have a long time client who does not want to give up having me do her exhibition silver printing., My Durst Laborator has finally died, or is so sick that I am not sure how much it would cost to cure it, nor where to go for that. I do digital printing for all my other clients, and they are happy with it, but this one is not. So I am trying every inkjet paper I can find to try and please her (her paper of choice was Ilford Multigrade Warmtone). The Ilford Silk Gold comes the closest so far, but not close enough. It may be hopeless. No one around here does darkroom anymore (I live in the sticks of Maine, and love it!!). I have never tried to artistically compare silver and digital printing; they are different art forms (like watercolor and oil paint) and are both beautiful, differently. You know!!! So, my long rant is over. Keep the subject line on topic. Thanks. Christie
