Others have chimed in, but that has never stopped me from adding my own $0.02 worth .... You are thinking ahead but I think you might be thinking a bit too far at this moment .... some of your questions indicate to me that you might not have a good handle on what is possible through digital photography. Before you buy a "good" camera, I suggest that use what you have to practice. Use it a lot. Since you want sepia and B/W, use the output from your S850 with a program such as PS Elements, etc., to play around. Remember, it isn't the camera that makes a photographer good - it's the photographer's skill and art. An example: Way back when, in the late 60s/early 70s, I did some amateur underwater work. I had a Nikonos II with all the accessory goodies. I also had a Kodak Instamatic in a plexiglass housing. While I made some great shots with the Nikonos, I made equally great shots with the Instamatic. I think it was because I didn't worry about the mechanics of the Instamatic - I just composed and shot. Of course, FWIW, YMMV. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "mirrorsphotography" <mirrorsphotography@...> wrote: > > ok so far i already have a samsung S850 i just found out i am gettign > a grand back in a month... in a camera i seek fast shutter speed.. > soem thing simplar to a 35mm but rather it be digital... i need sepia > and b/w but need some thing to grow into and not get past.. i am new > but income is wet for me and limited at that.. eventually i want to > take wedding and landscapes but be really good enough to sell later > down the road... any ideas of a good camera under 1000? thansk teri >
