The reason they are telling you that you are asking in the wrong forum
about a camera that meets your requirements, " i need sepia and b/w but
need some thing to grow into and not get past"

Most B&W digital is shot in color and converted to B&W and then tinted
in image processing software (like Photoshop). That is what this forum
is for. If you want camera info, like they said, you will do better
elsewhere.
