Is it still in warranty? Do you still have the Epson carts? Something 
doesn't sound right if you are getting black ink mixed with the cyan in 
a nozzle check.

Are you sure that you opened the air vent on those ebay carts? It 
almost sounds like you are creating a vaccuum in the cyan, and it is 
sucking other ink up into that head.
