Digital BW, The Print

I've read a couple of older posts from last year concerning using Paul 
Roark's work on a 3MK schema on the 1280.  Is anyone using this scheme 
as an alternative to UT2?  And, if so, how's it working?  Paul what was 
your final analysis of the feasibility of this process?
